About Me

A qualified NLSSM practitioner with a personal interest in assisting people to achieve improved mobility, posture and pain reduction

"I became interested in sports massage after my first treatment for a running injury - I felt amazing! After two sessions I had a "lightbulb moment" and realised I wanted to re-train to become a sports massage therapist. Within a month I had done an introductory course. One year later I had completed a BTEC level 5 diploma.

I have always loved working with people, and to now be able to relieve symptoms , discomfort and pain is truly empowering and gives me real joy."

About

"My treatment with Rachel was excellent and she made me feel at ease.  She localised my problem areas straight away and gave good advice as to how to alleviate my symptoms in my neck and lower back.  I would not hesitate to recommend Rachel to anyone in my social circle."

Laura M., The Telegraph

Rachel has an instinctive knack of getting to the root of the problem. I felt so much better after each session with her''

Bob W., The Telegraph

"I have been seeing Rachel over the past three months with a number of issues concerning primarily my pelvis and also my shoulder and neck. Rachel from the first treatment made me feel that something could be done to help with related pain to these. The course of treatments that I have received have proved greatly beneficial, noticeably reducing the early morning headaches and reduced pain in shoulder and neck area, with increased flexibility. Rachel is incredibly approachable, which made me feel relaxed, and provides a very personal service in a calming atmosphere. As well as providing treatment, she has armed me with home exercises and stretches which have really helped. We have also discussed posture and ways of helping myself throughout the day. I am delighted with my treatment so far and will be continuing with her for maintenance sessions.

Thank you so very much!"

Pre and Post Natal Massage and Remedial Therapy

Pregnancy and Post Natal Massage

Pregnancy can be a wonderful time, but it can bring along aches, pains and instability as the body adjusts to the changes in hormones and changes in alignment as the pregnancy develops, and the body adjusts to the demands of the growing bump. My aim is to make mums to be feel good in their bodies. Each mum to be will need a different massage/treatment developed according to needs and the session will be tailored specifically.

I'm passionate about enabling women to have more comfortable pregnancies, having had symphasis pubis disorder during my first pregnancy. At the time I felt I had nowhere to go to receive the help that I required.

Specific areas treated include:

- Carpal tunnel syndrome

- Sciatica

- Headaches

- Neck, Shoulder, Back and Hip pain

- Improvement in breathing capacity

Post Natal Massage can relieve niggles and aches, and can relax and facilitate the body's recovery.

Prior to the session I will email you a health questionnaire to ensure you are suitable for pregnanacy massage.

Seated Massage

Chair massage is a style of seated massage that is typically short (10 or 15 minutes) and focuses on your back, shoulders and neck and arms. Chair massage is performed over clothes and doesn't require any massage oil.

Baby Massage

Baby massage is gentle, rhythmic stroking of your baby's body with your hands, soothing and relaxing your baby, whilst also helping to alleviate conditions such as colic and improving digestion.
