"I became interested in sports massage after my first treatment for a running injury - I felt amazing! After two sessions I had a "lightbulb moment" and realised I wanted to re-train to become a sports massage therapist. Within a month I had done an introductory course. One year later I had completed a BTEC level 5 diploma.

I have always loved working with people, and to now be able to relieve symptoms , discomfort and pain is truly empowering and gives me real joy."

Sports Massage

Sports massage and Remedial Therapy is suitable for most people and isn't the preserve of those doing sport. It is suitable for those working in static positions e.g. a desk, those doing repetitive movements, lifting (such as childcare or gardening), or those with physical jobs.

Sports Massage and Remedial Therapy can relieve chronic tension, pain and dysfunction. It recreates an environment to enable the body to restore itself to its optimal function.

So, from desk work to competitive sports, sports massage can be highly beneficial.

Did you know that massage can:-

- improve scar healing and pain

- relieve jaw tension

- ease abdominal/digestive discomfort

- offer physiological benefits to relieve anxiety, tension and promote relaxation in preparation for an event

Many conditions can be treated including:

- Sciatica

- Back pain

- Muscle spasms/camps

- Joint pain

- Chronic tension

- Lengthening and improving tissue quality in shortened muscle

- Increasing range of movement

- Treating trigger points

Pre and Post Natal Massage and Remedial Therapy

Pregnancy and Post Natal Massage

Pregnancy can be a wonderful time, but it can bring along aches, pains and instability as the body adjusts to the changes in hormones and changes in alignment as the pregnancy develops, and the body adjusts to the demands of the growing bump. My aim is to make mums to be feel good in their bodies. Each mum to be will need a different massage/treatment developed according to needs and the session will be tailored specifically.

I'm passionate about enabling women to have more comfortable pregnancies, having had symphasis pubis disorder during my first pregnancy. At the time I felt I had nowhere to go to receive the help that I required.

Specific areas treated include:

- Carpal tunnel syndrome

- Sciatica

- Headaches

- Neck, Shoulder, Back and Hip pain

- Improvement in breathing capacity

Post Natal Massage can relieve niggles and aches, and can relax and facilitate the body's recovery.

Prior to the session I will email you a health questionnaire to ensure you are suitable for pregnanacy massage.

Seated Massage

Chair massage is a style of seated massage that is typically short (10 or 15 minutes) and focuses on your back, shoulders and neck and arms. Chair massage is performed over clothes and doesn't require any massage oil.

Baby Massage

Baby massage is gentle, rhythmic stroking of your baby's body with your hands, soothing and relaxing your baby, whilst also helping to alleviate conditions such as colic and improving digestion.
